New Year New Adventures

Lenny Kravitz sings I want to run away, I want to fly away…yeah…yeah…yeah….those lyrics are really resonating with me.  I am ready for some travel.  This "new normal" we're in has severely prohibited our travel life and I'm tired of being a home body.  I love going places, exploring, learning about new cities, new restaurants…  I love that my son is able to learn about other places.  (Since both of my daughters are older, they don't often travel with us.)  I love planning what we will do and see and what I will wear!  I'm sure you know what I mean.  When you have a trip on the calendar, you have something to look forward to.  I don't know about you but I have a travel planning journal where I chart the flight times, temperatures of our destination and plan out every item I'll wear so I know what to pack.  I also have a travel journal in which I record our trips, what we did, where we ate and stayed and fun memories.

During this pandemic we've traveled less.  Way less.  I'm getting a little stir crazy to be honest.  I've also bought some things in hopes of trips to come.  I just can't help myself.  Which is why I decided the theme for January for Clothes Minded is Go Somewhere.  I've named some of the new items accordingly, like the Milan Dress
