I am in the concert season of the year personally and it got me thinking about the types of people I see at concerts.  This blog is just for fun, please don't take it too seriously.

I was just at the Lainey Wilson concert a couple weekends ago as well as a Dierks Bentley concert at Red Rocks in Colorado and this weekend I'm traveling to Nashville to see Dierks again, then to see Greenday and in a month, Lenny Kravitz.  It's a busy time for my favorite singers and groups.  I wish I could see even more than what is on my itinerary.  But enough about me and my concert list, I want to talk about the people I see at concerts.

The couple who are in their own world, they're holding onto each other tightly, kissing, swaying to the music, maybe holding onto each other so they don't fall down.  This happened to us at Red Rocks, unfortunately it was very distracting because I was afraid they were going to fall or bump into me.

The person who behaves as though the concert is happening just for them.  They are focused and have one arm up in a constant cheer.  They might be singing along but they are totally and completely caught up in the moment.

What about the person who doesn't even know they're at a concert because they are so engrossed in their phone?  They're snap chatting, sending videos and selfies looking like they're having so much fun.  When they leave the concert, do you think they even enjoyed themselves?

Then there's the person or people who know every word and sing every word and you can hear them over the actual band or artist.  I prefer to not be sitting or standing close to those people.  I went to hear the actual singer or band, not someone who thinks they can sing.

At the Dierks concert in Nashville, my daughter and I were very bothered by a woman behind us who laughed during the entire concert.  Was she having a good time or was it a condition?  We didn't know but to hear that over the sound of the music was not fun at all.

I think the most annoying is the people who videotape every single second of the concert.  Do you think they watch it again afterward?  I've videotaped segments and when I listen later, the sound quality is nothing like when I was actually there.  I find myself watching the concert through someone's phone recording standing in front of me and I am not a fan.

Then there's the guy and it's always a guy who is turned around singing to the group of people he came with.  Does he really want to block his friends' view of the stage so they can watch him try to sing?  Why?

What about the people who are so intoxicated and really into talking to their group and not paying any attention to the concert?  So rude.

We see lots of people with young children but we've never been that close to them during a concert so I can't really say anything about it.  Have you ever brought a small child to a concert?  How was your experience?

I'm sure I've forgotten a lot of types of people I've seen at concerts and I'd love to hear if you have any that stood out in your mind.  What concerts are you going to this year?  We didn't even talk about what to wear, watch for another blog all about what to wear for different types of concerts.
